• Students

  • I can't log in to Canvas LMS.

    Students and Adult Education Students, select the appropriate login button and enter via Clever.

    • If you can't log in to a district computer you may need your account enabled or your password reset. See your site's computer tech for assistance.
    • If you need to change your AD password and don't have access to a district computer, you can go to stutech.ccsd.net and choose "Logging In & Password Reset". Once you update your password you will be able to log in to Clever and access Canvas.
  • I can't see my course or get in to the course.

    • Has the term started? The class won't be available until the start of term.
    • Did you look in "All Courses"? The Dashboard in Canvas shows your starred courses so it may not show you all of your courses. Click on "All Courses" from your Dashboard or the Courses area.
    • If your term has begun but the course listed says that it's unpublished you will need to contact your teacher.

    NVLA Students Only

    • Did you pay? If you registered for a course that has a fee, it has to be paid before you are enrolled in the course in Canvas.
  • I still have an issue.

    Generally your first option is always to ask your teacher. They are responsible for the course in which you are enrolled.

    For NVLA Students, if your teacher wasn't able to assist you or you are the teacher, you can put in a support ticket to NVLA by clicking here.

  • Employees

  • I can't log in to Canvas LMS.

    Teachers should select Educator & Staff option and use their CCSD Standard User ID (Active Directory / Google) username and password, with the full email address including @nv.ccsd.net.

    • Have you logged in this year on a networked district computer (not an iPad or Chromebook)? You have to log in and change your password in order for your account to work.
    • If you can't log in to a district computer you may need your account enabled or your password reset. See your site's computer tech for assistance.
    • If you need to change your AD password please navigate to Password Reset and follow the steps there.
  • I can't see my course or get in to the course.

    • You won't see the course until it is provisioned, generally the first day teachers report to school in August, or 30 days before the term starts during the school year.
    • Did you look in "All Courses"? The Dashboard in Canvas shows your starred courses so it may not show you all of your courses. Click on "All Courses" from your Dashboard or the Courses area.
  • I still have an issue.

    If you are the teacher and need assistance, your first contact is your site's Canvas Controller.

  • Parents

  • I can't log in to Canvas LMS.

    Parents use the Community button to log in using Canvas.

    When logging in to Canvas use the email address you used to create your observer account.

    • If you are an out-of-district adult participant click on the Forgot password? link on the login screen and follow the prompts to reset your password
    • Once you update your password you will be able to log in to Canvas.
  • PDE Course

  • Generally your first option is always to ask your instructor. They are responsible for the course in which you are enrolled.

  • I can't log in to Canvas LMS.

    If you are an out-of-district adult participant click the Community button to log in to Canvas.

    If you are having trouble logging in click on the Forgot password? link on the login screen and follow the prompts to reset your password.

  • I can't see my course or get in to the course.

    • Did you pay? If you registered for a course that has a fee, it has to be paid before you are enrolled in the course in Canvas.
    • Has the course started? If the course hasn't started you may have to wait until the start date.
    • Did you look in "All Courses"? The Dashboard in Canvas shows your starred courses so it may not show you all of your courses. Click on "All Courses" from your Dashboard or the Courses area.
    • If your course has begun but the course listed says that it's unpublished you will need to contact your teacher or contact the Professional Learning Education department at ple@nv.ccsd.net.
  • The module in the course won't let me continue.

    • If you can't get to a later module (grayed out) then you need to make sure you have completed all requirements to move on to the next module. If you look at "Modules" in the course, it will list the requirements and a checkmark as you complete them (view the page, submit the assignment, and so on).
